I played in a regional event on Monday that I was not originally planning on playing. This was my first of the year, and since it's snowing at my home and my home course, I have not done much golf activity since November. This actually allowed me to play very relaxed. Starting on the tightest driving hole with water raised a few nerves, but I truly was not concerned with how I finished that day so I confidently stepped up all day with one swing thought and just enjoyed myself. There was rust (mostly distance control from 100 yards and in), but as the seasons turn, and the practice becomes more regular, those things get better. So don't worry about it and have fun. The next event (in May) is much more meaningful so I will be preparing for that more methodically over the next couple months.
