Week 1: Building better habits, no excuses

The first week has come and gone and now it's time for the first update. This is essentially, season 1, episode 1. I wish I could tell you I crushed it and I hit every goal every day, but I didn't. I kept telling myself that it was okay, creating reasons why I didn't accomplish my goals for the week. Sure it was a busy week, but if you can create a true habit, a busy week does not break your routine. What I need to do is focus on making these desired habits, just that, habits. First thing I need to adjust in my game plan is taking baby steps. I will be focusing on physical health and finishing my PGA portfolio activities as the priority. This will make it easier to succeed at creating these two two habits, which will then make it easier to create time for other self enrichment and new habits. I will be using a couple tricks to help me. First, I will have lists to remind me the order of my morning and evening. On these lists I will be linking a regular habit, like eating dinner, with the new habit of completing my PGA portfolio. I will also have bean jars for each habit. Every time I complete a task, a bean goes from the full jar to the empty jar so you can see the empty jar progress to the full jar. Maybe you can try some of these tips with your habit building and let me know what works for you. Here's to your best you! See you next week!
